J. Christopher “Chris” Anderson, age 52, of Dassel, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at his home.
Chris was born Nov. 6, 1959, in Minneapolis, the son of Delmore and Carol (Ferrier) Anderson. He grew up in the Minneapolis area, and attended Bloomington Jefferson High School.
Chris was united in marriage to Ronda Sarner Sept. 20, 1996, at Anderson Gardens in Litchfield. They made their home south of Dassel.
Chris had been employed by Arctic Fox, Inc. in Delano for seven years as an engineering technician.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, and was always fond of the times they could spend together for holidays. He loved to write songs, play the guitar, and was an accomplished trumpet player.
Chris was incredibly funny and always enjoyed a good laugh with family and friends. He was very fond of his dogs and cats. He also loved to spend time outdoors, and could sometimes be found with a rod and reel in his hand.
Chris had the heart of a teenager, the mind of a visionary, the stubbornness of an Army mule, and the soul of a poet.
He is survived by his wife, Ronda, of Hutchinson; mother, Carol Ferrier of Clear Lake; brother Richard (Michele) Anderson of North Saint Paul; sister Cynthia Cox of Clear Lake; nieces and nephews, Luke Anderson, Theresa Madrinich, Colleen Behnke, Robert Savard, and Rebecca Savard; and great niece, Sunny Savard.
