Willis L. Beal, age 86, of Maple Plain, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at the Haven Homes in Maple Plain.
He was born Oct. 4, 1925, to Clarence and Clara (Faust) Beal in Independence.
Willis was united in marriage to Marion E. Schumacher Sept. 9, 1953, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Anoka.
A lifelong farmer in the Maple Plain area, Willis enjoyed playing cards and square dancing.
He was preceded in death by his twin sons, Raymond and Joseph Beal; and his parents, Clarence and Clara Beal.
Willis is survived by his wife, Marion; children Stephen (Anne) Beal, Leonard (Anita) Beal, Suzanne (Tom) Hauer, and Marietta (Chris) Cady; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Marilyn Hamilton.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, July 20 at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto. The Rev. John Gallas celebrated the Mass, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday, July 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, with a 7 p.m. prayer service; and continued Friday, one hour prior to the Mass in the church.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
