Scott A. Foley Obituary – 4/19/2012


Scott Allen Foley, age 27, of Dassel, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, at his home.

The funeral service will take place Tuesday, April 24 at 1 p.m. at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, rural Dassel, followed by interment at the Swan Lake Cemetery, rural Dassel.

Visitation is Monday evening, April 23 from 6 to 8 p.m., and will continue Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.

The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Scott was born June 5, 1984, in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Richard and Doris (Bunn) Foley. At the age of 8 months, his family moved to the Twin Cities. They later moved to Dassel, in 2004.

Scott grew up in the Minneapolis area, and graduated from the Buffalo High School. He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church at the time of his death.

Scott was employed as a mason for Nelson Masonry in Chaska. He enjoyed the challenge and was greatly talented in masonry.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends, and will deeply be missed .

Scott is survived by his parents, Rick and Doris Foley of Dassel; siblings Trent (Katrina) Foley of Dassel, Keith (Tristan) Foley of Litchfield, Bethany (Nathan) Koistinen of Dassel, Chandra (Riley) Sunberg of Litchfield, and Joshua Foley, Nolan Foley, Gordon Foley, and Randall Foley, all of Dassel.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
