Arthur Melvin Gunderson, age 73, of Buffalo, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at his home.
There will be visitation Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m.
Arrangements are being handled by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato.
Arthur was born May 28, 1939, in Minneapolis, to Arthur and Francis (Hauser) Gunderson.
He grew up in California and Minneapolis, and had spent most of his adult life in the Cokato area, living in the Warner Home for many years, and most recently in a REM home.
Art enjoyed working at Functional Industries. He enjoyed his job and the company of his fellow workers, and liked going to the senior program.
Art was especially fond of family celebrations and any opportunity to share a cup of coffee with someone. He was always happy and up for a hug.
Art is survived by his sisters, Shari (Morley) Mathewson, Wendy (Gary) Verkinnes, and Tomi Reiners; nieces and nephews, Whitney, Kenzie, Sheridan, and Keaton Reiners; Quinn, Meg, and Morley Mathewson; and Kalen Verkinnes; and his uncle, Bill Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Francis; and stepmother, Barbara J. Gunderson.
