Bernadine Louise Habisch, age 75, of Winsted died Sunday morning, Jan. 22, 2012, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
She was born May 24, 1936, in Winsted, the daughter of Carl F. and Helen Theresa Kieser Habisch.
Bernadine enjoyed playing bingo, puzzles, camping, and taking care of babies and small children.
She is survived by her mother, Helen Theresa Habisch of Winsted; brothers and sisters, Rosemary Zitzloff of Winsted, Dorothy Wiegert of Litchfield, Millie Kennard of Isle, Bob Habisch (special friend, Kim) of Howard Lake, Joyce (Terry) Schwalbe of Winsted, Joan (Jerry) Olson of Waverly, Chuck Habisch of Isle, and Jim (Kathy) Habisch of Lester Prairie; sister-in-law Pricilla Habisch of Winsted; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her father, Carl Frank Habisch; a brother, Richard Habisch; a sister, Linda “Tootie” Habisch; and brothers-in-law Edward Zitzloff, Keith Helmbrecht, and Earl Kennard.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with Father Tony Hesse as the celebrant. Billy Habisch was the urn bearer. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Jan. 27 in the chapel at St. Mary’s Care Center; and continued Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.
