Mildred A. Hunter, age 94, of Buffalo, formerly of Waverly, died Friday, July 6, 2012.
She was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Delhi, IA, to John and Nellie (Goldsmith) McElmeel.
Mildred enjoyed her time spent at Park Terrace in Buffalo, with the caregivers who would become her well-known friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Hunter.
Mildred is survived by her children, Holly (Roger) Rosin, Nancy (Frank) Prepodnik, Bill (Peggy) Hunter, and Marilyn (Paul) Fobbe; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of St. Mary in Waverly, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday, July 8 from 4 to 8 p.m., and continued Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.; all at the church.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
