Beatrice “Bea” Hazel Klinkner, age 77, of Hanska, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis as a result of injuries she sustained in an automobile accident near Brownton.
She was born July 25, 1934, in Nicollet, to John and Sophia (Kubishak) Ellingson. Bea was a 1952 graduate of Nicollet High School.
She was united in marriage to Everett Klinkner Jan. 29, 1957, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nicollet. After their marriage, they farmed near Searles.
Bea was employed at New Ulm Furniture for more than 30 years until the present.
She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, shopping, and having coffee with friends and family.
Bea was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and the Nicollet American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Ken Marketon of Howard Lake, Beverly and Pete Hoffman of New Ulm, and Diane and Pat Wimmer of St. Cloud; sons Kenny Klinkner of Hanska, and Pat Klinkner of Searles; 13 grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and by a sister and brother-in-law, Bernadine and Herman Mettler of Nicollet.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Klinkner in 2011; a daughter, Patricia Ann in 1960; a great-granddaughter, Hope Tauer in 2009; and by a brother, Robert Ellingson in 1998.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, June 29, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial followed in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Searles.
Visitation was Thursday, June 28 from 4 to 8 p.m., and continued Friday from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
