Anne Margaret Manninen, age 41, of Annandale, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at her residence.
A funeral service will take place Monday morning, June 11 at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church in Cokato with the Rev. Lyndon Korhonen and Pastor Orval Wirkkala officiating. Interment will take place at the church cemetery on a later date.
Visitation was Sunday evening, June 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel, and will continue Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel.
Anne was born Sept. 16, 1970, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Elwood and Karen (Juusola) Manninen. She grew up in Michigan and graduated from Howell High School.
Anne attended Western Michigan University and Eastern Michigan University.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith, and was presently a member of Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church in Cokato.
A talented artist with many artistic endeavors, Anne loved to do bead work, knit, make jewelry, and cards. She was a wonderful aunt, who loved her many nieces and nephews.
Anne was very intelligent and an avid reader. She had a great sense of humor and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She will be missed dearly by those who loved her.
Anne is survived by her parents, Elwood and Karen Manninen of Annandale; siblings Eric (Jackie) Manninen of Annandale, Laura (Ben) Niemela of Buffalo, and Andrew (Julie) Manninen of Dassel; nine nieces and nephews, Emily, Hailey, Maila, Tarja, Logan, Olli, Senja, Ethan, and Gregory; and by all of her godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter and Vieno Manninen; her maternal grandparents, Arnold and Emma Juusola; and an aunt, Sally Haag.
