Gerald ‘Jerry’ May, age 74, of Rogers, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012.
He was born March 15, 1937. in Waverly. the son of Martin and Leona Zimmers May.
Jerry honorably served his country in the United States Army.
He was formerly employed for many years by Standard Oil/Amoco.
Jerry was a faithful member of Mary Queen of Peace, St. Martin Campus in Rogers.
He enjoyed deer hunting, water fowl hunting, and was an avid fisherman.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ann (nee Herbst); three children, Karen (Buzz Plante), Craig (Gabi), and Keith (Julie); six grandchildren, Cole, Max, Sophie, Alex, Brittney, and Brandon; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Leona.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace, St. Martin Campus in Rogers. There was private interment with military rites at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waverly.
Visitation was Friday, Feb 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.
Casket bearers were Mike and Terry Rogers, Alan and Dan Johnson, and Cole and Max May.
