Mary Darlene (Danelke) Putney, age 67, of Cokato, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the Annandale Care Center.
She was born Sept. 8, 1944, in Duluth, to William and Adella Heascke.
Mary grew up in St. Cloud, and graduated from Apollo High School in 1964.
She married Dennis Danelke in 1964, and the couple moved to the Annandale area. Four children were born to this union.
Mary was later divorced from Dennis, and in 1993, married James Putney and resided in Litchfield. She later moved into Cokato.
Mary enjoyed reading, watching television, tending her flower garden, camping, and taking walks.
She is survived by four children Kelly (Julie) Danelke of South Haven, Penny (David) Benson of Cokato, Dan (Renae) Danelke of Redmond, OR, and Brad (Linda) Danelke of Clearwater; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (Lee) Gill of St. Cloud; and husbands Dennis Danelke and James Putney.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Richard and Billy.
The funeral service took place Friday, June 1 at 1 p.m. at New Life Assembly of God Church in Cokato, with Pastor Al Jones officiating. There was visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church.
