Lowell Warren Raasch, age 85, of Cyrus, formerly of Dassel, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 3, 2012, from complications following heart surgery at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. 200 E Main St., Cyrus, with visitation before the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at the church. Interment will follow the service at Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery.

Lowell was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Jackson, MN, to Ludwig and Lillian (Bartels) Raasch.
He graduated from Jackson High School in 1944.
Lowell married Betty Jones Nov. 25, 1945. Through the years, they lived in the following communities in Minnesota: Worthington, Reading, Benson, Glenwood, Dassel, Starbuck, and Cyrus.
Lowell touched the lives of many people with his friendliness, smile, and sense of humor.
