David T. Snicker, age 55, of Mt. Olivet Rolling Acres in Victoria, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
David was born July 21, 1956, in Watertown, the son of Sylvester and Marian (Boll) Snicker. He was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown.
David, also known as “Pal,” was not a morning person, but a bottle of Coca-Cola would change his attitude. Some of his favorite things included eating, movies, coffee, popcorn, National Geographic, all-star wrestling, and crossword puzzles, and he enjoyed putting his name on everything. He knew his trivia, and liked to call his dad ‘Old Man’.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Marian Snicker; and sister-in-law Edie Snicker.
He is survived by his loving family: brothers and sisters Tom (Julie) Snicker of Mayer, Jim Snicker of Hugo, Mary (Larry) Hartmann of Cologne, Ann (Bob) Reese of Delano, and Marnie (Jim) Grosshuesch of Maple Plain; step-mother Georgia Snicker of Buffalo; aunts Marion Boll of Watertown, Lois Boll of White Bear Lake, and Betty Boll of Waconia; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The funeral service took place Friday, Feb. 24 at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Victoria, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Don Anderson officiated at the service, and interment was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Watertown.
Honorary pallbearers were David’s nieces and nephews, Lance Hartmann, Erich Hartmann, Ryan Hartmann, Melanie Reese, Jennifer Coppin, Andy Grosshuesch, Tim Grosshuesch, and Michael Snicker.
