Monica Gisela Stifter, age 68, of Buffalo, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo. After a short battle with cancer, she went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family.
Most of her life was spent in Hutchinson, where she devoted nearly 40 years as a loyal employee of 3M. Upon retirement, she moved to Buffalo.
Monica is survived by five brothers; Francis (wife Alice, deceased) of West Chatham, MA, Vincent ( Cathy) of Mayer, Leonard (Betty) of Silver Lake, Gilbert (Beverly) of Minnetonka, and Felix (Joni) of Silver Lake; two sisters, Bernadette (Lawrence/Ike) Libor of Winsted, and Veronica (Ronnie) Stifter of Buffalo; and 20-plus nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank Stifter and Dora (Schermann) Stifter respectively; and an infant brother, Eugene.
Monica was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Private graveside services took place Saturday, Aug. 11, with burial at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.
Arrangements were handled by the Chilson Funeral Chapel in Winsted.
