Lambert William “Turk” Van Lith, age 82, of Buffalo, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at his home.
He was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Hamel, to Martin and Gertrude (Croymans) Van Lith.
Turk was preceded in death by a son, Ross; parents Martin and Gertrude Van Lith; and siblings Martha (Ernie) Wandersee, Martin (Kitty) Van Lith, Fritz Van Lith, Art (Juanita) Van Lith, Dorothy (Clarence) Addicks, Casey Van Lith, Irene (Harvey) Wandersee, and Gert (Kenny) Hanson.
He is survived by his wife, Liz; children Joseph (Dana) Dolence, Karl (Marjorie) Van Lith, Terri Kimble, and Sherri Cwik; 11 grandchildren, Rebecca, Brian, Julia, Kevin and Stephen Dolence; Michael Van Lith, Matthew Van Lith, Aaron Van Lith, Dylan Kimble, Katelyn Cwik, and Paige Cwik; one great-granddaughter, Adele Taylor; a brother, Leonard (Mickey) Van Lith; and sisters-in-law Janice Van Lith and Angie Van Lith.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Wednesday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, followed by interment with military honors in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. prayer service; and continued Wednesday one hour prior to services in the church.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
