Rees was born March 3, 1964, in Watertown, to Leonard and Donna Alden. He grew up on the family farm, and attended school in Delano. Rees then moved to rural Annandale, where he has lived for the past 20 years.
He farmed with his father, and worked for Etchit of Buffalo, and then drove truck for Transystems, a subcontractor for the southern Minnesota Sugar Beet Co-op in Renville.
Rees will be remembered as an easy-going and generous man, known by his friends as the “gentle giant” and “Rees’s pieces.”
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
