Ione S. Anderson, age 82, of Buffalo, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the Annandale Care Center in Annandale.
She was born Sept. 4, 1930, in Parkers Prairie, to John and Gertrude (Bryant) Posthumus. Ione graduated from Annandale High School and received her degree from St. Cloud Teachers College.
She was married May 1, 1953, to Warren Anderson in Silver Creek. They were blessed with three children.
Their 60 years together took them to Plymouth, Buffalo, and Howard Lake.
Ione enjoyed sewing, puzzles, helping others, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Warren; her children, David (Robin) Anderson of Buffalo, and Cathy (Lance) Breyer of Elko; sisters Betty Johnson of Monticello, Donna (James) Bergquist of Plymouth, Ruthann Dixon of Waxahachie, TX, and Karen (Richard) Larson of New Brighton; as well as by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ione was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Douglas Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Myron Johnson and Max Dixon.
Funeral services took place Thursday, July 25 at 11 a.m. at the Buffalo United Methodist Church, with visitation two hours prior to the service. Interment was at the Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Creek.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
