Douglas Anderson-Jordet, age 50, of California, met his tragic and untimely death Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2013, in Arcata, CA.
He was born Oct. 14, 1963, in Litchfield, to Donald and Dorothy Anderson, the youngest of five children.
Doug attended school in Howard Lake, graduating in 1982.
He had a passion for music, writing, art, and working as a chef. Doug had moved from his longtime home in St. Cloud just over a year ago, after being hired to work as a chef and manager of Abruzzi restaurant in Arcata.
Doug truly loved the beauty of the northern coast of California, spending as much of his time as he could enjoying nature’s beauty with his good friends Virgie and Ben.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Dorothy Anderson of Alexandria; siblings Donna (David) Johnson, of Ashby, Donald L. (Patty) Anderson of Isanti, Marlene (Richard) Johnson of Meridian, ID, and Patricia (Curt) Henderson of Minnetrista; as well as many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at In The Pines, 3992 State Hwy. 27 W, Alexandria.
