John Gerald Cebulla, Jr., age 74, of Watertown, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Elim Home in Watertown.
John was born March 28, 1939, in Watertown, to John Cebulla Sr. (Jack) and Edith (Pearson) Cebulla.
He was united in marriage to JoAnne (Palumbo) Blackketter Oct. 11, 1985.
John farmed all of his life on his family farm in Woodland Township, until he retired in 1999, and moved to Mayer.
In addition to farming, John enjoyed playing cards, fishing, going to casinos, and spending time with his grandchildren, especially at the annual family summer vacation.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Edith Cebulla; mother and father-in-law Joseph and Ann Palumbo; son-in-law Kyle Stubbs; and brother-in-law Dennis Schmidt.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, JoAnne; his step daughters and spouses: Barb (Jeff) VanWatermulen, Karen (Kevin) Linn, Julie (Eric) Anderson, Linda (Rob) Berg, Mari (Rand) Harding, and Suzie (Tony) Noor; and his grandchildren: Chrissy (Ryan) Klingelhoets, Michael Udstuen, Taylor and Ashley Linn, Aaron, Zackary, Paige, and Kortney Anderson, Jered, Derek, and Conor Berg, Hallie, David, and Sarah Harding, and Jacob and Justin Noor.
John is further survived by a sister-in-law, Betty Schmidt; special cousins Rita (Bernie) Nieman, Barb Sohns, and Edward Pearson; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown, with a gathering of family and friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
Honorary pallbearers are John’s grandchildren.
