Rosalie M. Cornell, age 82, of Watertown, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the Oak Terrace Senior Housing in Gaylord.
She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Watertown, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Forseth) Cornell. Rosalie was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Rosalie was very active in the Republican Party. She loved to travel, and lived in several different states throughout her life.
Rosalie was known for her smile, and had a contagious laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Marie Cornell; brother Lloyd Cornell; sister Muriel Schilling; and nephew Robert Cornell.
Rosalie is survived by her loving family: sister-in-law Alice Cornell of California; nieces Susan (Larry) Fatka of Paton, IA, and Janet Cornell of Maple Grove; great-nieces and nephews Michael (Jessica) Cornell, Renaye (Russ) Wyganowski, Karen (Parry) Telander, Christina Cornell, and Ann Bowen; cousins Don (Georgene) Plaschko, and John (Dee) Plaschko; and many friends.
The funeral service took place Thursday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. David Weeks officiating. There was visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Renaye Wyganowski, Karen Telander, Michael Cornell, and Christina Cornell.
