Gloria Mae (Davis) Falling, age 81, of Hutchinson, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Heritage Place in Cokato.
A memorial service will take place Monday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at the New Life Assembly of God Church (nlagcokato.com) in Cokato with Pastor Al Jones officiating.
There will be a time to gather one hour prior to the service at the church.
The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Gloria was born June 12, 1931, in Litchfield, the daughter of John and Signe (Larson) Davis. She grew up in the Dassel area, where she attended school.
Gloria was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.
She was united in marriage to Lowell “Louie” Falling in 1948, in Little Falls. The couple made their home on the Falling family farm in Lamson, where Gloria kept busy helping with farm chores and spending time outside in her vegetable and flower gardens.
Gloria was a great cook and enjoyed the time she spent with her family for holidays and special events.
For many years, she worked at 3-M and also cleaned homes in Hutchinson and Minneapolis.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Lowell “Louie” Falling of Hutchinson; daughter Debra Schoenig of Chaska; six grandchildren, Brett Schoenig, Carrie Moiser, Heather Erickson, Dustin Falling, Lindsan and Amanda Falling; and seven great-grandchildren, Mason, Madison, and Kenedy Erickson, Milo and Signe Moiser, and Dylan and Morgan Falling.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Falling; her parents; and three brothers, Bill, Robert, and Duane.
