Janell Ellen (Giedd) Foley, age 51, of Clear Lake, died, Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at her home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1961, in Mitchell, SD, the daughter of Harold Henry and JoAnn (Priebe) Giedd. Janell grew up in the Chamberlain, SD area, where she graduated from the Chamberlain High School.
Janell was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
She was united in marriage to John Foley Nov. 22, 1979, in Chamberlain, SD. The couple made their home in the Chamberlain area, and then the Clear Lake, MN area.
Janell was a dedicated caregiver who had a loving heart and would take care of everyone, especially her children, grandchildren, and her husband. She enjoyed her family, and the time spent with her children and her grandchildren.
She loved the outdoors, gardening, taking walks, and watching the sunset with her husband. Janell will be missed by her family and all of her friends.
She is survived by her husband, John Foley of Clear Lake; children Jarmon (Anna) Foley of Clearwater, Jevon (Krista) Foley of Big Lake, Jadian (Cinda) Foley of Becker, and Joscelyne (Tyson) Stewart of Big Lake; 12 grandchildren; her mother, JoAnn Giedd of Chamberlin, SD; and siblings Paul Giedd of Chamberlain, SD, and Cindy (Dave) Haugland of Rapid City, SD.
Janell was preceded in death by her father, Harold; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
The funeral service took place Monday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in rural Dassel, followed by interment at the Swan Lake Cemetery, rural Dassel.
Visitation was Sunday, July 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements were by the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel.
