Helen Theresa Habisch, age 96, of Winsted, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, April 10 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, followed by interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Father Tony Stubeda will be the celebrant.
There will be a time of gathering Wednesday morning, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Helen was born March 25, 1917, in Middleville Township, Wright County, the daughter of Joseph and Louise Hollerbach Kieser.
She was joined in holy marriage with Carl F. Habisch Feb. 12, 1936. God blessed their marriage with 11 children.
Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, sewing, quilting, camping, and fishing at Mille Lacs Lake.
She was a lifelong resident of Winsted, and a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Helen is survived by eight children: Rosemary Zitzloff of Winsted, Dorothy Wiegert of Litchfield, Millie Kennard of Isle, Bob Habisch of Cokato, Joyce (Terry) Schwalbe of Winsted, Joan (Jerry) Olson of Waverly, Chuck Habisch of Isle, and Jim (Kathy) Habisch of Lester Prairie; 35 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; 22 great, great-grandchildren; step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Habisch; two daughters, Bernadine Habisch and Linda Habisch; a son, Richard Habisch; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three sons-in-law, Edward Zitzloff, Keith Helmbrecht, and Earl Kennard Sr.
