Gregory O. Hagen, 62

Gregory O. Hagen, age 62, of Loretto, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born Sept. 24, 1950, in Minneapolis, the son of Otto and Margaret D. “Delores” Burns Hagen.

Gregory was joined in holy marriage with Bonnie E. Kuehn July 21, 1973, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Corcoran. God blessed their marriage with three children.

A retired 32-year employee of the US Postal Service, Greg was employed there from April of 1980, until November of 2012. He also was a former arbitrator for APWU Local.

Gregory was a faithful member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Corcoran.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; children Kelley Jean (Stuart) Cobb of Delano, Amanda Lea (Jeff) Branchfield of Watertown, and Christopher James Hagen of Loretto; grandchildren Paige, Adrianna, and Tara; Bryce, Chance and Max; siblings Patricia Patnode, Delores Ellison, Mary Rita (Ray) Pearson, Debbie (Ed) Ehrlichman, Maureen (Tom) Eggert, Larry (Rita) Hagen, Mike (Lynn) Hagen, and Joe (Beth) Hagen; brother-in-law Ozzie Chabot; sister-in-law Cheryl Hagen; an aunt, Mary Zuccaro; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Margaret Hagen; a sister, Dorinda Chabot; and brothers Tim and Kevin.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday, April 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Corcoran. Father John Gallas, Father Kenneth Ludescher, and Seminarian Tim Lang were concelebrants for the Mass. Interment with military rites followed at St. Thomas Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday, April 7 at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home from 3 to 8 p.m.; and continued Monday, one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Casket bearers were David Hagen, Paul Hagen, Jeremy Hagen, Brian Gronsberg, Josh Kuehn and Shane Bermel.

The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home served the family.
