Anthony “Tony” Frank Hlad, age 80, of Rockford, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delano, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the Mass. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Anthony was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Flensburg, MN, to Joseph and Pauline (Super) Hlad.
He was a lifelong construction worker.
Tony enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His card games would go on forever, and he always had a joke to tell for anyone who would listen.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pauline Hlad; and a brother-in-law, Willie Gall.
He is survived by his children, Dennis (Lisa) Hlad, Cheryl Hlad and Buzz Westrum, DeeAnn (Brad) Link, and Chris (Brian) White; four grandchildren, Joe, Daniel, Emily and Blaine; and siblings Patricia (John) Kempenich, Geraldine Gall, Shirley (Art) Bliese, and Larry (Ruth) Hlad.
