David L. Johnson, age 59, of Roseville, formerly of Dassel, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.
David was born in Litchfield, raised in Dassel, and a member of the last graduating class of Dassel High School.
He was a 34-year employee of the MPCA.
David was the proud father of Anna and Daniel, and an avid Vikings fan. He took a special interest in his father’s role as a pilot in World War II.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Kathryn.
He is survived by his wife, Kim; children Anna and Daniel; brothers Rick A. (Marcia), and Tom L. (Diana); aunts Shirley Ostlund and Betty Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service took place Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. at Roseville Lutheran Church in Roseville, followed by interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 15 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the church, and continued Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements were handled by Roseville Memorial Chapel, in Roseville.
