Madeline “Maggie” Hope Lebovsky, age 92, of Delano, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Legacy of Delano.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, April 2 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, followed by interment in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano.
Visitation will be Monday, April 1, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the church, with rosary services at 4:30 p.m.; and will continue Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., prior to the Mass.
Arrangements are by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Maggie was born March 11, 1921, in Independence, to Daniel and Grace (Bracken) Alger.
She was united in marriage to Richard Vincent Lebovsky Jan. 31, 1951, in Delano.
Maggie and her husband were the proprietors of Lebovsky Store. Maggie was known in the area for her sewing skills.
She was active in the St. Peter church community, and the Delano American Legion Auxiliary, serving as a past president.
Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and brothers Howard Alger, Loren Alger, and Irvin Alger.
She is survived by her children, Deanne Donovan (Worm), and Gary (Judy) Lebovsky; grandchildren Christopher (Lisset) Worm, Jennifer (William) Klossner, Davin Lebovsky, Andy Lebovsky, and Allison Lebovsky and fiancé John Moyer; and great-grandchildren Brittany Klossner, Jessica Madeline Klossner, Natasha Worm, Kristopher Dominick Worm, and Katianna Worm.
Maggie is further survived by a sister, Carol Strassburg; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Russek.
