Madeline McCormick, age 94, of Salem, IL, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the Doctors Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem, IL.
A graveside service will take place Saturday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Darwin.

Madeline Marion McCormick, age 94, of Salem, IL, formerly of Hutchinson, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Doctors Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.
She was born April 27, 1918, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Eugene and Hilma Johnson Bonniwell, who preceded her in death.
Madeline retired as a CNA for Dassel Nursing Home with 30 years of service in the health care profession. She loved being a caregiver, and continued to volunteer both at the nursing home and in her church.
She was a member of the Free Evangelical Church in Lamson.
Madeline married Steven McCormick Feb. 25, 1941, in Hutchinson, and he preceded her in death in 1956.
She is survived by a daughter, Marion Hays, of Salem, IL; a sister, Edna E. Snyder, of Junction City, KS; three grandchildren, Troy Hays of Salem, IL, Nick Hays and wife Beth of Iuka, IL, and Tracy Hulsey and husband Kelley of Kinmundy, IL; eight great-grandchildren, Brooke, Whitney and Christin Hays; Morgan, Spencer, Carter and Carson Hulsey and Rachel Howard; and two great-great-grandchildren, Madalyn and Harper Howard
In addition to her husband and parents, Madeline was preceded in death by a son, Dale McCormick; son-in-law Howard Hays; brothers Marvin and Kenneth Bonniwell; and a sister, Nettie Eastling.
Madeline was cremated as per her request, and there was no public visitation.
Graveside services and burial will take place in St. John’s Cemetery, Darwin, at a later date.
