Mary E. Molnau, age 85, of Waconia, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Auburn Manor in Chaska.
The funeral service will be Monday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia with the Rev. Arden Malotky officiating. Interment will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Chaska.
There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Casket bearers are Lyle Braun, Ken Bom, Neil Bleichner, Doug Molnau, Gary Molnau, and Wally Lahl.

Mary was born May 22, 1928, in Chaska, the daughter of Alfred and Rosella (Sauerbrey) Griep. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chaska.
Mary was united in marriage to Ralph Molnau Sept. 15, 1951, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chaska.
Mary enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, and interior decorating.
She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia, serving on the altar guild, Bible study, and the Facilities Committee.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Molnau; and father and mother, Alfred and Rosella Griep.
She is survived by her loving family: sisters-in-law Mildred Molnau of Howard Lake, and Margaret Molnau of Bloomington; nephews and nieces Gary Molnau, Carol Ann Peterson, Gloria Stehr, Paulette Nielsen, Doug Molnau, David Molnau, and Marilyn Cloeter; and other relatives and friends.
