Larry was born March 22, 1952, in Willmar, the son of LeRoy and Ardelle (Freeberg) Myers. The family lived in various communities while Larry was growing up, and before he graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1970.
He continued his education at Willmar Vo-Tech, receiving training in auto mechanics. Throughout his life, Larry worked for various car dealerships, between here and Minneapolis, mostly Ford dealerships. He most recently was working for Morrie’s Minnetonka Ford Mercury in Minnetonka.
Larry was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Raymond, and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Winsted.
He was a handyman, always able to fix anything, especially Fords. Whether he was watching old westerns or riding his own show jumping horse, Larry always had a fascination with horses.
He also liked speed, whether with his motorcycle or a car, the faster the better. His pride and joy was an early ‘70s Ford LTD that he completely restored after getting it from a junkyard.
Larry is survived by his siblings, Lowell Myers of New London, Kathryn Myers of Eagan, and Keith Myers of Casa Grande, AZ; and a niece, Tamara Forcier of Fontana, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers; and a sister, Lynn Lamp.
