Randall Christ Niesen, age 61, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013.
Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown, with interment at the Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.
Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown, and will continue Monday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by the Iten’s Funeral Home of Watertown.
Randall was born May 24, 1952, in Minneapolis, to Chris and Laura (Hoffmann) Niesen.
He loved woodworking, and displayed his work at Heritage Square at the Minnesota State Fair for over 20 years. His current project was creating a full-sized wooden canoe.
Randall loved his daughters and enjoyed coaching them in their various sporting activities. He also enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chris; brother James; and James’ wife, Marjorie.
Randall is survived by his mother, Laura Niesen; daughters Christina (Jeff) Mueller, Michelle (Jesse) Kuklok, Jennifer (Bret) Donabauer, and Natasha Niesen (Jacob Forcier); grandchildren Jenna and Joshua Mueller, Austin and Braden Kuklok, Autumn and Hunter Donabauer, Courtnie, Jack and Dylan Forcier; sisters Pauline Garnet (Les) Dupont, and Betty (Dan) Erickson; brothers John (Carol), Joe (Rosemary), Jake (Margaret), Jerome (Marjorie), and Jerry (Margorie) Niesen; and many other relatives and friends.
