Timothy Oberpriller Obituary – 10/16/2013


Timothy Allen Oberpriller passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at his home in Howard Lake He had reached the age of 53 years, 2 months, and 3 days.

Timothy was born in St. Cloud Aug. 13, 1960, to John and Hazel Oberpriller.

He grew up in Howard Lake. Tim entered into business with his father John “Jack” Oberpriller at T&O Auto Parts of Howard Lake. For a time he worked at Cedar Lake Engineering.

Tim married Denise Hass Jan. 29, 1980. They were married in Watertown, SD, and made their home in Howard Lake.

Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, archery, and bingo. He was a 35-year member of the Howard Lake Lions. He was good at working on automobiles.

He is survived by his wife, Denise, of Howard Lake; children Kelly (Rob Tovsen) Oberpriller of Howard Lake, and Albert Oberpriller of New Hope; grand children Emily, Hannah, and Lindsay; mother Hazel Oberpriller of Howard Lake; sisters Sharrie (Doug) Brown of Annandale, Elaine (Pat) Hurley of Howard Lake, and Janelle (Tom) Sullivan of Howard Lake.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, John, and brother, Kevin.

Mass of Christian burial took place Monday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.

There was visitation Sunday, Oct. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake.

The Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake handled the arrangements.
