Mary A. Palmersheim, 79

Mary A. Palmersheim, age 79, of Waconia, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the Elim Home in Watertown.

Mary was born Aug. 17, 1933, in Little Falls, the daughter of Peter and Marie (Benkuski) O’Hotto. She was baptized and confirmed in Elmdale.

Mary was united in marriage to Adrian S. Palmersheim June 10, 1952, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Elmdale.

Mary was a long-standing health care worker.

She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, painting, and going to polka dances with her husband.

Mary was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia, and said the rosary on a daily basis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Palmersheim; daughter Janice Palmersheim; grandson Ryan Palmersheim; parents Peter and Marie (Benkuski) O’Hotto; son-in-law Richard Olson; brothers Jerry O’Hotto, and Leo O’Hotto; sisters and brothers-in-law Irene and Richard Lesinski, Jenny and Rusty Phillipi, and Rosie and Donny Brausen; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Cyril Palmersheim, Victor Palmersheim, Wilfred Blenkush, and Delphine Palmersheim.

Mary is survived by her loving family; children Renee Olson of Mid Pines, CA, Gary Palmersheim of Drain, OR, Jim (Julie) Palmersheim of Shakopee, Ron (Cheryl) Palmersheim of Waconia, Elaine (Mark) Budde of Cokato, Kevin Palmersheim and Chrissy Holton of Shorewood, and Shawn Palmersheim of Hutchinson; and grandchildren Jena and Richard Plekkenpol, Megan Palmersheim, and Adrienne Palmersheim-Wise.

She is further survived by sisters and brother-in-law Lucille Bonemeyer, Jeanette and Ernie Brakowitz, all of Little Falls; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Marge O’Hotto of Sartell; sister-in-law and husband Eileen and Jack Regan of Little Falls; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Norine Blenkush of St. Stevens, Maurice and Rita Palmersheim of St. Joseph, Romie Palmersheim, Lillian and Delvin Dullinger, all of St. Steven, Jane Palmersheim of St. Cloud; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia with Father Bennet Tran as celebrant for the Mass. Interment was in the church cemetery. There was visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.

Casket bearers were Marty Palmersheim, Joe Palmersheim, Richard Plekkenpol, Roger O’Hotto, Brad Phillipi, and Roger Blenkush.

The Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia handled the arrangements.
