Lois Theresa Price, age 80, of Maple Lake, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in the Maple Lake area, along with her husband, Delano.
Lois was born Dec. 4, 1932, the daughter of George and C. Mae (Holmberg) LaPlant.
She was a “jack of all trades” who enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, woodworking and a multitude of other hobbies.
Lois was very organized and worked at cleaning homes, Road Runner, Wonder Alls and Tonka Toys.
She was an excellent calligrapher, and also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino, but always had time for anyone, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her children, Steve (Donna) Wiczek of Nisswa, Chuck Wiczek of Cushing, Debbie Rosas of Anaheim, CA, and Mary Krueger (Byron TenEyck) of Alexandria; aunt Lou Ahlm of Buffalo; siblings Mark (Nancy) LaPlant of St. Cloud, Joan Raisanen of Buffalo, Yvonne Degrar of Burnsville, Kay Bastin of Delano, and Basil LaPlant of St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Marlys; son Michael Wiczek; first husband Ralph Raisanen; brother-in-law John Raisanen; and nephew Patrick Raisanen.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Interment was at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Buffalo.
Visitation was Friday, July 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, with a Legion Auxiliary Rosary at 4 p.m., and parish prayers at 7 p.m.; and continued Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Casket bearers were Brent Wiczek, Jeremy Wiczek, Jason Wiczek, Luke Wiczek, Josh Wiczek, and Glen Raisanen.
The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, assisted the family with arrangements.
