Marcella T. Quast, age 85, of Winsted, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at her home.
She was born Oct. 31, 1927, in Winsted, the daughter of Peter and Frances Quast Entinger.
Marcella attended Lester Prairie Schools and graduated from Lester Prairie High School.
She was united in marriage to Raymond A. Quast May 11, 1948. They made Winsted their home, and were blessed with seven children.
Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Quast in 1978; her parents, Peter and Frances Entinger; four brothers: Fred, Louis, Tony, and Andrew; and by a sister, Catherine “Kate” Millerbernd.
She is survived by her seven children: Douglas (Joyce) Quast of Kimball, Steven (Kay) Quast of Howard Lake, Charlene (Kevin) Latzig of Lester Prairie, Marlene (Lyle) Kritzeck of Winsted, Charles (Twila) Quast of Shakopee, Allen (Debra) Quast, and Barb (Gary) Prehn, all of Lester Prairie; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Hoese and Jennett Hoese; and other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Alice Nowak was the organist for the Mass. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Casket bearers were Anthony Quast, Nick Latzig, Eric Kritzeck, Christopher Quast, Ryan Quast, and Jake Prehn.
