Joyce M. Quist Obituary – 2/1/2013


Joyce M. (Hendrickson) Quist, of Stevens Point, WI, formerly of Howard Lake, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Stevens Point Care Center.

She was born May 18, 1933, in Howard Lake to Arthur and Mary (Johnson) Hendrickson. Joyce grew up in Howard Lake, where she attended grade school and Howard Lake High School.

She was married to Everil A. Quist Aug. 20, 1951, in Minneapolis. They shared 61 years of marriage.

Joyce worked at Copps Super Market as a deli manager for eight years, retiring in 2000; then volunteering with various organizations.

She is survived by her husband, Everil; children Larry (Debbie) Quist of Walworth, WI, Ronald (Nancy) Quist of Waukesha, WI, James (Lynn) Quist of Springfield, MO, and Randall (Linda) Quist of Seymour, WI; a brother, Orville Hendrickson of St. Louis Park; a sister, Betty Dahlen of Cokato; a brother-in-law, Paul Quist of Waterloo, IA; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was Saturday, Feb. 9 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plover, WI.
