Norbert Rademacher, 82

Norbert A. Rademacher, age 82, of Waconia, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the Waconia Good Samaritan Center.

He was born July 2, 1930, in Waconia, the son of Thomas J. and Rosella (Worm) Rademacher. Norbert was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia.

Norbert was united in marriage with Laura Mae Weinzierl June 23, 1953, at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius by Fr. Wohlfert.

Norbert worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, hunting, and going to the cabin. Norbert especially cherished spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Rosella Rademacher; a sister Elaine Rademacher; and brothers-in-law Germaine Buesgens, Jerry Engelen, and Bernard Laumann.

Norbert is survived by his loving family: wife Laura Mae Rademacher of Waconia; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Mary Rademacher of Waconia; daughters and sons-in-law Barb and Arnold Samuelson of Cologne, Sandy and Steve Schwanke of Glencoe, and Cheryl and Michael Kelzer of Waconia; grandchildren Katie Mueller and her husband Blair, Brian Rademacher, Kimberly Rademacher, Kristin Rademacher, Ashley Samuelson, Lindsey Samuelson, Mitchell Kelzer, and Marshall Kelzer; great-granddaughter Lucy Mae Mueller; step-grandson Luke Meyer and his wife, Stephanie; and step-great-grandchildren Grace and Jameson Meyer.

He is further survived by sisters and brother-in-law, Annie Buesgens of Waconia, Mary Jane Laumann of Cologne, Arlene Engelen of Waconia, and Agnes and Ed Kohman of Faribault; brothers and sisters-in-law John and Barbara Rademacher of Grand Rapids, Marvin and JoAnn Rademacher of Waconia, Tom and Annie Rademacher of Cologne, and Ronald and Rita Rademacher of Waconia; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Tony and Carol Weinzierl of St. Bonifacius, Marlys and Don Jacques of Chaska, Myrene and Frank Whittaker of Hill City, Jack and Marlene Weinzierl of St. Bonifacius, Jerry and Sue Weinzierl of Mayer, and Rich Weinzierl and special friend Raenn of St. Bonifacius; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

The funeral Mass took place Tuesday, June 25 at 1 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius with Fr. Tom Balluff as celebrant. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Visitation was Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church, and continued Tuesday, one hour prior to the Mass.

Casket bearers were Brian Rademacher, Mitchell Kelzer, Marshall Kelzer, Roch Whittaker, Bob Rademacher, and Mike Weinzierl.
