Henry Eugene Ruggles, age 84, of Moundsview, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at the Minnesota Veterans Home of Minneapolis, of COPD and Alzheimer’s Disease.
A memorial service for friends and family will take place Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. at Roseville Lutheran Church, 1215 Roselawn Ave West, Roseville, MN; (651) 487-7752.
Henry was interred with full military honors at Fort Snelling.

Henry was born Sept. 10, 1928.
He was a World War II Army veteran who served in Japan for two years during the occupation by playing trombone in MacArthur’s band.
Henry earned a baccalaureate degree in business administration from Gustavus Adolphus College, and served as a banking officer during his professional years.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Carolyn; daughters Rebecca and Beth; sons Brian and Scott; brother Howard; and three grandchildren.
