Linda M. (Czanstkowski) Sawatzke, age 51, of Buffalo, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013.
Those who knew her would agree, Linda lived a full life, on her terms. She loved road trips, warm destinations, motorcycle rides, and working in her garden. No one drove quite like Linda. Her memory will live on in those that loved, and were loved, fiercely, by her.
Linda’s family, friends, and dogs, Gizzy and Gus were her life!
She was preceded in death by her son, SSGT Rory R. Gavic; her mother, Ellen Weeks; a nephew, Raul Cervantes; her grandparents; and her beloved pug, Otis.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jim Sawatzke; sons Carleton and Charlie; stepdaughter Cassie; grandson Logan; father Frank Czanstkowski; stepfather Rick Weeks; siblings Debra (Dave), Rita, Frank (Debbie), Mike (Melody), Dianne (Tom), and Bob (Kathy); and many stepsiblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo, followed by interment at St. Francis Cemetery.
Linda’s life was honored during a wake Thursday, Nov. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
A Linda Sawatzke Memorial Fund has been set up at Klein Bank in Buffalo.
