Lucille L. Schaible, age 79, of Howard Lake, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Howard Lake.
The funeral service will be Monday, Feb 11 at 11 a.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be at Glen Haven Cemetery in Crystal.
Lucille was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Bowdle, SD, to Henry and Lydia (Schlepp) Leidholt.
She married Delbert G. Schaible Feb. 13, 1955, in Bowdle, SD. The couple moved to Oklahoma while Delbert received his engineering degree.
Following Delbert’s schooling, they moved to the Minneapolis/Crystal area, where Lucille raised her family. Delbert passed away in July of 1990.
Lucille was a wonderfully skilled seamstress. She enjoyed cross-stitching, card parties, and the daily neighborhood coffee parties. She was a great friend to everybody, a very special grandmother, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
She is survived by her son, Todd (Michelle) Schaible of Orono; daughters Ranae Gates of Maple Lake, and Becky (Clark) Connell of Ashland, WI; grandchildren Jamie Gates, Benjamin Connell, Nicholas Connell, Jennifer Schaible and Julia Schaible; a brother, Jerry (Corrinne) Leidholt of Pierre, SD; and a sister, Janice (Danny) Bergeson of Ft. Pierre, SD.
In addition to her husband, Delbert, Lucille was preceded in death by her parents.
