Marian Kay Setterberg-Tobin, age 64, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Cokato, passed away after a short illness, Friday, April 5, 2013, at Boswell Hospital in Sun City, AZ, surrounded by family.
She was born April 10, 1948, in Cokato, to the late Irving and Mary (O’Keefe) Setterberg.
Marian was an avid collector of antique dolls, and an accomplished crochet and cross stitch artist.
She had a special place in her heart for all animals, particularly her cocker spaniel “Toby,” and rarely went anywhere without him.
Marian was a registered jeweler of the American Gem Society, and was employed at Setterberg Jewelers in Sun City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandparents, Walter and Signe Setterberg, and Will and Maime O’Keefe.
Marian is survived by her husband, Frank Tobin of Sun City, AZ; her son, Brent (Kristi) George; grandchildren McKenna and Luke of Issaquah, WA; a brother, Rick (Sandy) Setterberg of Phoenix, AZ; nephews Jason (Jennifer) Setterberg of Phoenix, AZ, and Michael (Kymberlee) Setterberg of Brooklyn, NY; and a niece, Shannon (Shane) Boos of Phoenix, AZ.
A remembrance service took place Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Phoenix, AZ.
