Cheryl Tormanen, age 55, of Spring Park, formerly of Winsted. passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the Elim Nursing Home in Watertown.
She was born Jan. 30, 1957, at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, the daughter of Carl and Theresa Bueche Tormanen.
Cheryl was a longtime waitress, starting at Lord Fletchers. She was a waitress for 10 years at Red’s in Howard Lake, and then managed Red’s for two years. She also was employed at the Howard Lake bowling alley.
Cheryl enjoyed going to concerts and the casino. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Cheryl also liked to fish.
She is survived by her husband, Thane Fry of Spring Park; sons Brady (Megan) Tormanen of Winsted, Bobby Tormanen of New Germany, and Jamie Fry of Spring Park; grandsons Mason and Ethan; brothers David (Theresa) Tormanen of Rockford, and Brian (Sonya) Tormanen of Mounds View; a sister, Sandy (Randy) Hatch of Mound; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glen and Beverly Fry; sister-in-law Lorie Gray (Steve) Ritchie; brother-in-law Terry (Kelly) Fry; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Fry, Oct. 27, 2007; and by her parents, Carl and Theresa Tormanen
A memorial service took place Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with Pastor Harry Maravelas officiating.
Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.
