Larry Allen Bollman, age 58, of Paynesville, died tragically Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, as the result of a motorcycle accident near Milan, MN.
He was born Aug. 27, 1955, in Litchfield, the son of Arnold and Doris (Dahlgren) Bollman.
Larry was a Dassel-Cokato High School graduate, went on to become a diesel mechanic, and was currently working for the Paynesville Centra Care Health System.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends, fishing, and hunting, and loved to help anyone in need. Having a natural gift as a mechanic, Larry enjoyed tinkering with all things mechanical, and he knew how to fix almost everything.
Larry had a love for his children, Ryan and Cyndi; and took special pride in his grandchildren, Ethan (12), Brandon (11), Brooke (7), Makena (5), and Matthew (3). He loved spending time with them fishing, telling stories, cuddling on the couch, and making plans for great adventures.
Larry had a wonderful sense of humor, and many times showed affection through his gentle teasing and trademark sidearm hugs to his children.
He is survived by his children, Ryan (Amy) Bollman of Annandale, and, Cyndi (Bollman) Steinke of Blaine; five grandchildren; his mother, Doris Bollman of Dassel; a sister, Bev (Tom ) Dokken of Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Arnold; and infant sister Janet Mae.
Memorial services took place Friday, Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. at Paynesville Lutheran Church in Paynesville, with visitation for one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment was in the Dassel Community Cemetery in Dassel.
