Susan Ann Brenner, age 65, of Delano, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014.
She was born in Glencoe, to Herbert and Viola (Graunke) Bartels.
Susan was a 1966 graduate of Delano High School.
She was employed by the Minnesota Department of Transportation for 27 years.
Susan loved to go to Cancun, and spend time at the cabin. She enjoyed reading, and surfing the Internet.
Susan was proud of being a terrible cook, gave the best guidance you could ask for, and was a go-to person.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Viola Bartels; nephew Kevin Jopp; and brothers-in-law Donald Brenner, Bob Jopp, and Al Siegel.
Susan is survived by her loving husband Dick; children Kelly (Paul) Grinnell, Nicole (John) Schmidt, and Joe; grandchildren Jessica, Katie, Colleen, Jade, Johnny, and Sally; brother Larry (Lynn) Bartels; sisters-in-law Joanne Siegel, Kathy Jopp, and Lori (Mike) Foy; and nieces and nephews Bobby Jopp, Brian (Marnie) Jopp, Jeff Siegel, David Brenner, James Stephens, Darrell Stephens, Kent Bartels, and Marissa Bartels.
A memorial service took place Thursday, April 10 at 5 p.m. at Light of Christ Church in Delano, with a gathering of family and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. at the church, prior to the services.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
