June E. Bulau Obituary – 5/11/2014


June E. (Gennrich) Bulau, age 84, of Minneapolis, formerly of Lester Prairie, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Augustana Health Care Center in Minneapolis, after a lengthy battle with dementia.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, May 24 at 11 a.m. at Glory of Christ Lutheran Church, 4040 Hwy 101 North, Plymouth, MN, followed by lunch.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. at the church, prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred to Augustana Health Care Center or Glory of Christ Lutheran Church.

Assisting the family with arrangements is Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel in Plymouth (763-553-1411).

June was born June 4, 1929, at home in Lester Prairie.

She attended Lester Prairie Schools and graduated from Lester Prairie High School in 1947. She then attended Minnesota School of Business, graduating June 8, 1948.

June worked for years as a secretary at a variety of companies. Her last position was with Ag-Chem, and she retired from there in 1994.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida (Lemke) and Alvin Gennrich, who owned the Red Owl Store and then Gennrich Bakery in Lester Prairie.

Her husband, Earl Bulau, died in 2006.

June is survived by her daughter, Tracey Gennrich of St. Paul; step-children, Daniel (Jean) Bulau of Van Wert, OH; Kristine (Jim) Campbell of Wyoming, MN, Judith Bulau of St. Louis, MO, Ed (Kathy) of Vale, SD, and Julianne Bulau of Albert Lea; 13 step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
