Arlene Doboszenski, age 75, of Paynesville, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at her home.
She was born Arlene Catherine Wachman July 28, 1939, in Sauk Centre, to Eleanora and Raymond Wachman.
Arlene married James Doboszenski May 9, 1959, in Loretto, where they lived for 40 years raising their five children.
In December of 1999, Arlene and Jim bought their dream retirement home on Lake Koronis in Paynesville.
Arlene had many interests, but her favorite was her love of traveling. She was fortunate enough to do this often, weekend camping trips, California, Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, cruises, and her favorite their yearly trips to Florida.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Eleanora Wachman; her brother, Walter Wachman; and her first great-granddaughter, Lainey Jade Pool.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Doboszenski; children Connie Doboszenski, Nancy Doboszenski, Diane (John) Dickey, Judy (Greg) Erickson, and Bob (Brenda) Doboszenski; grandchildren Jesse (Jaime), and Toree Pool, Jake (Alli), and Dylan Erickson; Eric and James Dickey, Samson, Colin, and Parker Shepard, Megan and Emily Doboszenski and Tyler Entrikin; and great-grandchildren, Madyson, Malaina, and Brecklen Pool.
Arlene is also survived by her brother, Erv (Darlene) Wachman; sisters Millie (Donnie) Arens, Betty (Duane) Schliinz, and Elaine (Jim) Dorn; and many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony took place Friday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the funeral service. Interment was at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery in Loretto.
Arrangements were handled by Johnson Funeral Home, Paynesville, New London, and Belgrade.
