John F. Dolder, age 92, of Delano, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014.
He was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Minneapolis, to John and Gladys (Boone) Dolder.
John was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Army; and a member of the Zuhrah Shriners Masons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; brothers Arthur and William Dolder; and granddaughter, infant Dalbec.
John is survived by his children, Gloria (Tim) Dalbec, Kathy (David) Vincent, and John (Adele) Dolder; eight grandchildren, Rosalind Albiso, Angela (Art) Hyde, Todd (Jodi) Dalbec, Sarah (Jason) Vieau, Matthew (Jocelyn) Vincent, Jason Dolder, Brandon Dolder, and Darren Dolder; nine great -grandchildren, Awston, Cassandra, Paige, Trevor, Skyla, Dylan, Asher, Colton and Emmersyn; and a sister, Betty Mealhouse.
The funeral service took place Friday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. at Delano United Methodist Church, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the service. Interment with military honors followed in the Delano Public Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the Iten Funeral Home, Delano.
