Luella M. Falk, age 72, of Waconia, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.
She was born July 7, 1942, in Mound, the daughter of Lawrence and Eileen (Seebeck) Heitz. Luella was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mound.
She graduated with the class of 1960 from Mound High School.
Luella married Dennis Falk Oct. 15, 1962. They were blessed with 50-plus years of marriage, and three children.
Luella was a wonderful woman who found joy in solving any sewing challenge. Other activities she enjoyed were playing bingo, baking, and canning. She was an avid dirt track fan.
Her happiest times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her generous spirit and comforting embrace will be sadly missed.
Luella was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; father Lawrence Heitz; and brother Larry Heitz.
She is survived by her loving family, son and daughter-in-law Doug and Kristi Falk of Plato; daughters and sons-in-law Deb and Glen Lohse of Lester Prairie, and Donna and Ed Bierlein of Waconia; grandchildren Tiffany and Joe Pommerer, Trevor Falk, Tessa Falk, Danielle Lohse, Stephanie Lohse, and Samantha Bierlein; great-grandchildren Madilyn Pommerer, and Eli Pommerer; and mother Eileen Heitz of Mound.
Luella is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Judy Kallestad, Pauline and Jack Doherty, and Pat and Gordon Bane; brother and sister-in-law Ken and Paula Heitz; brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Jill Falk of Waconia; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A Time of Remembrance took place Thursday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia with the Rev. Amy Gohdes-Luhman officiating. There was a gathering of family and friends from 4 p.m.. until the time of the service.
