Elaine C. Farniok, age 75, of Delano, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born June 1, 1938, in Watertown, the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Bodin Lenz.
Elaine and Donald L. Farniok were joined in holy marriage Sept. 5, 1959, at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in rural Delano. God blessed their marriage with a son, Bradley.
Elaine was employed for 28 years at the Delano High School. She later worked at Annie’s Attic in Buffalo.
She was a faithful member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Delano.
Elaine is survived by her son, Bradley A. Farniok, of Sioux Falls; grandsons Thomas, Derek, Matthew, and William Farniok; sisters Evon (Jerry) Blowers, and Diane (Gary) Benson, all of Montrose; a brother, Daryl (Bonnie) Lenz of Andover; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Farniok; parents Art and Gert Lenz; a brother, Don Lenz; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Margaret Farniok.
The funeral service took place Saturday, March 29 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano, with the Rev. Paul Marggraf officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olive East Cemetery.
Visitation was Saturday, March 29 at the church from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Casket bearers were Tammy Benson, Tracey Rassat, Debbie Blowers, Leslie Dalchow, Hannah Rassat, and Heather Severson.
