Leon Philip Fiecke, age 54, of Howard Lake, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 18, 2014.
He was born April 25, 1960, in Hutchinson, the son of Philip and Rose Ann (Hemrick) Fiecke.
Leon worked as a truck driver and diesel mechanic.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapshooting.
Leon is survived by his siblings, Laurie (Wayne) Harris, Julie Winkelman, all of Lester Prairie; Roger Fiecke of Howard Lake, and Rodney (Lisa) Fiecke of Cokato; aunts and uncles Ludwina (Clarence) Laxen, Florian (Bernice) Fiecke, Sophie Juncewski, all of Winsted; Rosemary Mallak of Lester Prairie, Rozina (John) Jilek of Glencoe, Emma Drahos of Silver Lake, Alexander (Barb) Fiecke of Mayer, Isabelle Salonek of Watertown, Mary Fiecke of Rockford and Johanna Fiecke of Hutchinson; nieces and nephews Jamie Tondera, Wade (Staci) Harris, Kaitlyn Fiecke, Jessica Fiecke, Mitchell Fiecke, Callie Fiecke, Sara (Bill) Mezzano, and Shane (Emily) Winkelman, great-nieces and great-nephews Harley, Jackson, Shayla, Trey, Tyler, Kendra, Leilia, Elliott, Sherrie, Emma, Sophia and Shane; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Ann and Philip Fiecke; and an infant brother, Anthony Leo Fiecke.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, followed by interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.; and continued Thursday, one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Urn bearer was Johnny Hirsch.
Honorary urn bearers were Jerry Fistman, D. Lang, Don Bickman, Roger Fiecke, and Cecil Horstman.
