Marcella M. “Marcie” Hahn, age 88, of Winsted, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 9, 1925, in McLeod County, the daughter of Henry and Anna Kohler Artmann.
Marcella M. and Jack E. Hahn were joined in holy marriage Dec. 2, 1948, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four sons.
Marcie enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and volunteering in the community. She was a very kind and loving Christian woman who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Marcie also belonged to the American Legion Post 407 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her four sons: Stephen R. (Randa) Hahn of Eden Prairie, John H. (Cindy) Hahn of Virginia, MN, Ed (Diane) Hahn of New Berg, OR, and Matthew R. (Shelly) Hahn of Silver Lake; eight grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin (Dorothy) Artmann; sisters-in-law Sylvia Artmann and Joy (Bert) Murphy; and other relatives and friends.
Marcie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Hahn, Jan. 12, 2008; her parents; brothers Raymond and Albert; and a sister, Florence.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with Father Patrick Okonkwo as the celebrant. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation preceded the Mass from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Honorary casket bearers were Blake Hahn, Scott Hahn, Michael Hahn, and Christopher Hahn.
Casket bearers were Jerad Hahn, Eric Hahn, Jeff Hahn, Greg Hahn, Bob Artmann and Jim Artmann.
